Celtic Pottery Soup Bowl in Green 3 Weeks to Ship

This Celtic Design soup mug is hand thrown and handpainted in rich green, abstract celtic design. (Click on pic above for larger view). Each soup or chowder mug average 3" tall x 5" wide. They hold 2.5 cups of liquid and are available in: Green Celtic, Brown Celtic, Blue Celtic and Thistle Flower. These are high-fired (Cone 6) for maximum durability, with white stoneware. Each piece is lead free, dishwasher and microwave safe. As with all hand crafted pottery the coloring and size will vary from piece to piece, making each piece a one-of-a-kind. The Artists: We are a husband and wife team, making our unique stoneware pottery together. Claire and Bill have been in business making pottery for almost 30 years. All our pottery is handthrown(or handbuilt),handpainted and signed & dated. Before creating her studio, Claire studied fine art and ceramics at Pierce College for several years. While studying there she worked as a ceramic lab assistant and student teacher. She used what she learned at school, workshops and production studios to create a unique line of white stoneware pottery. In 1987, Claire took her husband Bill. Using her experience from college and production studio work, she taught Bill production studio pottery. Bill now throws almost 100% of the pottery, leaving Claire to concentrate on hand painting her whimsical designs.
